Budget

This year I am aiming to save as much as humanly possible!
I'm in a lucky situation at the moment with a good paying full time job + minimal money responsibilities & I won't ever get this chance again so it's save save save time.
I currently have 2 savings accounts that I use - one for 'short term' saving (trips, holiday, ) + one for long term savings that I can't withdraw from.
After buying a brand new car, buying J a new 50inch TV, going on holiday + paying off my car insurance in full over 2 months my savings are all pretty.. empty. (nearly..)
From now on I'm going to do my best not to waste & throw away money like I've been doing so often.
It's easy to get comfortable and think 'Hey, I can afford this now I have a decent job + I can't be bothered to walk down the road where it's 10x cheaper'
or
'Hey, I can afford this now I have a decent job + I can't be bothered to cook my own damn food anymore'
But life isn't always like that + as much as I'd love to be completely spontaneous - I have a planning & controlling mind.
Although.. a sentence that struck me I heard from a lady who just found out she had incurable cancer I often say to myself is 'Gracie, if you go out today and you see a beautiful dress - you buy it."
I think that's important.
The balance needs to be fair.. I'm not going to work my whole life + deprive myself of something I really love because hell, I might not live forever, but - why continuously throw away money on things that won't bring any sort of positive impact to your life after 5 minutes.
& I do mean continuously.. because come on, I do love a good splurge here & there on items you don't need but want and will just make you feel that much better after a hard day and you just have to get the most expensive version + only use it once.. just because.
Anyway.. there's the plan. & It all starts in 3 days though I'm not exactly sure on specifics or how much I can handle to cut down on but I know a few changes that will be made.. more to come on that!

I'm actually pretty excited on this. I like to feel in control + I get a buzz from achieving harsh goals like this so.. bring it on!
(& I won't stop spending or posting new products etc.. I'll just be challenging myself to get the best quality items for the best value possible)

Shopping Update 1

Today's Corally Combo!
Rimmel's 'Coral Crush', River Island printed coral dress & Vaseline Rosy Lips!

I picked up these three Rimmel polishes in Boots on Thursday
They were doing the 3 for 2 across all make up & one thing I can't resist is nail polishes.. especially on 3 for 2!
Choosing colours is agonizing for me sometimes.. but these three were lined up together & looked appealing so I made a quick decision to snap them up before my boyfriend could notice I was stocking up on yet more nail varnish!

I then went to Bristol with my parents this afternoon & picked up a few goodies
Gosh Soft'n Shine Lip Balm in 40 Irony
Sleek Pout Polish in Electro Peach

Yes! I of course had to pick up 3 Glamour magazines to get all three of the free Benefit goodies!
These were pretty hard to find as they're being snatched up quick.. but after 8 shops throughout my shopping route in Bristol I managed it!

I'm lucky I'm pale as the It Stick blends into my skin tone pretty well once I dab it in!
I haven't tried them out properly yet to decide how regular I'll use them all but for £6 it's a bargain regardless!

Were you all out picking up three issues of Glamour this weekend!?
